At Jawan’s Special Screening For Indian Army, Atlee Was All Praise For Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s Jawan has taken the box office by storm within a few days of its release. Fans and critics across the country are showering praise on this mega-commercial hit. Recently, Atlee and his team organised a special screening of the film for the Indian Army. The screening was held in Mumbai on Sunday, and the director himself was present for the show. Jawan was released on September 7, and apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the film also stars popular names such as Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupati.

At the screening, Altee addressed the audience, who cheered for him and the film. He said, “Good evening everyone, I am Atlee. This is my first Hindi film, and I am really grateful to see the love. Thank you so much for supporting the film. I hope you all enjoyed the film…Thanks to Shah Rukh sir, the Red Chillies team, and the entire team here.” He was then felicitated and made to sign the Golden ticket.

Jawan is currently dominating the global box office, surpassing the elusive Rs 300 crore milestone in just three days. The film has made Rs 384.69 crore at the global box office. Red Chillies Entertainment, the production company supporting the film, disclosed the film’s India and worldwide gross box office collections on social media. The film focuses on a commando-turned-vigilante who enlists the support of a group of ladies to right society’s wrongs. The movie addresses themes such as government apathy, corruption, farmer suicide, a failing healthcare system, faulty army weapons, and dangerous factories located near civilian areas.

Meanwhile, after the release of the film, Shah Rukh Khan thanked his fans for receiving the film so well. He tweeted, “Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed, will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so. Uff!! Love u for loving #Jawan.”

The film includes Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra in supporting roles. Deepika Padukone also makes a special appearance.

Shah Rukh Khan was earlier seen in the blockbuster film Pathaan in January this year. Next, the actor will work on Dunki, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and others.
