Jadeja Fails to Recognise, Fans Clueless as Suryakumar Hits Mumbai Streets Disguised as Cameraman - WATCH
Disguised as a cameraman, ace Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav stepped out of the team hotel to interact with the fans.

India’s World Cup 2023 campaign has been the most cheerful so far. They are the only side to have won all their league matches, sitting on the top of the table with 12 points. They face Sri Lanka in their next fixture against Sri Lanka in Mumbai which is home to the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav. Ahead of the face-off, Suryakumar had some fun with the people taking a stroll at the famous Marine Drive.

Disguised as a cameraman, the ace Indian batter stepped out of the team hotel to interact with the fans. He wore a full-sleeve shirt to cover his arms full of tattoos. He also wore a mask, a cap and sunglasses to hide his face.

Before heading to the streets, Surya tricked Ravindra Jadeja with his looks and the all-rounder failed to recognize his teammate at first. The fans too couldn’t recognize Surya until he unveiled himself in front of a fan.

While interacting with the people, Suryakuamar came across a fan who said that the batter needed to bat up the order to get more runs. The comments made the Indian batter laugh but somehow he controlled his emotions as he couldn’t have revealed his identity.

The video was shared by the BCCI on social media.

“Presenting Suryakumar Yadav in a never seen before avatar. What’s our Mr. 360 doing on the streets of Marine Drive,” the caption of the video read.

India and Sri Lanka back at Wankhede

The finalists of the 2011 World Cup are back at the iconic Wankhede after 11 years. If that game was truly a battle of titans in every sense, the impending contest is more or less a battle of the unequals.

India have hitherto marched on immaculately in pursuit of a third title and Sri Lanka have lost more than what they have won.

India’s confidence is irrefutably high but greater is their self-belief and trust in skills — witnessed in the mini-storm created by Australia in Chennai when reduced to 5/3 or when England limited them to a modest 229/9 in Lucknow.
