Shilpa Shetty Feels She Was 'Meant To Be Together' With Raj Kundra: 'We Are Soulmates'

Shilpa Shetty is gearing up for a much-anticipated comeback to the silver screen with her upcoming film, Sukhee. The actress is currently busy with promotional activities for the film, generating excitement and anticipation among her fans. Ahead of the film’s release, Shilpa Shetty, in one of her interviews revealed that she always knew her husband Raj Kundra was her ‘soulmate’.

During a freewheeling conversation with the Bollywood Bubble, Shilpa Shetty explained why friendship is an important foundation to a successful marriage, “I know we are soulmates and we are meant to be together and he just gets me and main sukhi (blissful) hun. I wish that kind of friendship for all women out there in their marriages because I think it’s important to have friendship in a marriage,” she shared with the entertainment portal.

Just a few days back, Shilpa wished her husband Raj Kundra on his birthday. The actress had shared a video of herself and Raj Kundra walking hand in hand amid beautiful green surroundings. She also posted a sweet message for her cookie.

In the video, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are seen enjoying a romantic walk in a hidden and picturesque location. The serene surroundings feature a graceful herd of deer, with the timeless tune of ‘Yuhi Kat Jayega’ providing the perfect backdrop. Despite Raj Kundra’s usual camera shyness, he appeared captivated by the stunning scenery, while Shilpa enjoyed their romantic walk.

Sharing the photo, Shilpa wrote, “Gifting you a mirror this birthday, so you can see what I see… someone funny, kind, considerate, and loving! A beautiful soul that’s perfect for me Happpppyyyyyyy birthdaaaayyyy, my Cookie! Stay protected, happy, and blessed.”

During the trailer launch of the event of Sukhee, Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared a heartwarming anecdote about how Raj Kundra played a pivotal role in convincing her to accept the film’s offer when she was planning to turn down the offer. “Raj read the script when I wasn’t home. I told him that it’s a beautiful film, but I’m not ready for it. When I returned, he told me, ‘Are you crazy? You have to do this film!” she added.

Apart from Shilpa Shetty, Sukhee also features Kusha Kapila in a significant role. The film’s story revolves around a housewife who breaks free from her monotonous routine to attend her school reunion in Delhi. The film is slated to hit screens on September 22.

On the professional front, Shilpa Shetty was last seen in the action comedy-drama Nikamma alongside Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia. Her upcoming projects are nothing short of exciting. She is set to dazzle the audience in Prem’s Kannada action film KD-The Devil, in which she shares the screen with Dhruva Sarja, Reeshma Nanaiah, Sanjay Dutt, and V. Ravichandran. She will be also seen in Rohit Shetty’s web series, Indian Police Force, where she’ll share the screen with stars like Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi.
