Delhi Chaats Are The Best? Reddit User's Post Has Foodies Debating
Reddit user's post about Delhi's street food being unmatchable has sparked a debate on social media platform.

Delhi is known for its street food. From scrumptious chaat to mouth watering chhole bhature, the city is rightly deemed as the ‘culinary capital.’ Street food in the city boasts of a sprawling range including sweets, puri, chhole bhature, a variety of kebabs and biryani. Now, a Reddit post which has gone viral has people discussing the same.

Taking to the social media platform, an anonymous user said that he has lived in Delhi for 18 years and after shifting from there he realised that no city in India can beat the chaat items and chole bhature in taste, especially Street style. “I really miss the carrot and radish achaar a lot tbh,” he wrote. For those who don’t know, this achaar is served with fried food and some chaat items.

“In Chaat Banaras and Lucknow >>>> Delhi…Though I agree with the Chhole Bhature,” commented a Reddit user. Another person wrote, “That’s because you’ve lived in Delhi. People love what they have grown up eating. Eg for me I have grown up near Varanasi and find that chaat better. My wife is from Delhi and swears by the Delhi chaat. Chhole bhature is a Delhi and nearby region item. I have lived in UP and Rajasthan and it’s not much of a craze there.”

“Because that’s what you consider a perfect chole bature. It’s how moms cooking is best because what she fed you is the base standard in your mind as it defined the dish for you. The first roti is how you define what a roti should taste like and was reinforced by constantly tasting the same,” commented another person.
