The CBI quizzed Jaswant Singh as part of its preliminary enquiry in the 2G case.
New Delhi: As the Bharatiya Janata Party trained its guns on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former finance minister Jaswant Singh was also questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The statement of the BJP leader was recorded by the CBI in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam.
The CBI completed its interrogation of Jaswant Singh, which had been going on for the past two days, as part of its preliminary enquiry in the case.
The investigating agency had told the Supreme Court that the former finance minister had to be examined as he headed the Group of Ministers on spectrum in the BJP-led NDA government.
