BJP on Saturday released the first list of 57 candidates from West Bengal assembly elections. BJP General Secretary Arun Singh while announcing the list said that Suvendu Adhikari will contest from Nandigram seat.
The BJP had held a meeting at the party headquarters in Delhi ahead of announcement of candidates list which was attended by PM Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda and other members of the committee.
“Mamata Banerjee will soon join the inglorious list of incumbent Chief Ministers to lose their own elections,” BJP West Bengal co-incharge Amit Malviya said on Suvendu Adhikari contesting against Mamata Banerjee for Nandigram seat.
BJP has nominated Bharati Ghosh, a former IPS officer, for the Debra seat. She will take on Humayun Kabir, former IPS, of the Trinamool Congress. The battle in Debra seat will witness contest between two former IPS officers.
