BJP's Laxmikant Parsekar takes oath as Goa Chief Minister: As it happened

Panaji: Health Minister Laxmikant Parsekar will be sworn in at Raj Bhawan at 4 PM on Saturday. Parsekar has strong RSS links and currently holds the portfolio of the state Health Minister. Parsekar, elated said, "I am very happy to be elected as the CM". Parsekar also thanked Parrikar for his mentoring adding, "From loosing my deposit to being an MLA, and Chief Minister of the state has been made possible by the mentorship of Manohar Parrikar". Parsekar has twice held the office of the BJP state chief in Goa.
