Counting of 10 municipal corporations and 25 zilla parishad polls in Maharashtra now. About 56% voters had exercised franchise and all eyes will be on the outcome of results. The stakes are high for Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, who led their respective parties with no-holds-barred campaign.
The Shiv Sena and the BJP have won big in the 10 municipal corporations and 25 zilla parishad that went to polls in Maharashtra, while the NCP, Congress and the MNS faced crushing defeats.
Short of the majority mark in Mumbai, both Uddhav Thackeray and Devendra Fadnavis remain non-committal on a tie-up.
