Bangalore: The Lokayukta Court on Tuesday posted to October 17 for hearing a private complaint against former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and his family members for illegal denotification of government land.
Earlier, Lokayukta police submitted its report to the court on its investigation conducted under CrPC Section 202.
Taking the report on record, Lokayukta Special Court judge NK Sudhindra Rao posted to October 17 the hearing the complaint.
In the complaint filed by city-based advocate Sirajin Basha, Yeddyurappa and five others including his sons and son-in-law were accused of irregularities in denotifying government land in Rachenahalli in Bangalore South taluk which caused an estimated loss of about Rs 40 crore to the state exchequer.
This is the first complaint out of the five filed by Basha on which the court took cognisance and ordered investigation by Lokayukta police.
