Darjeeling (WB): Gorkha Janmukti Morcha president Bimal Gurung is likely to visit Delhi on Wednesday and may meet Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to discuss the statehood issue, Morcha sources said in New Delhi on Darjeeling.
The sources said that GJM leaders on Tuesday held a 'secret' meeting, chaired by Gurung, to chalk out its next steps in attaining statehood.
They said that the six-member GJM team, camping in Delhi for the last few days, held a meeting with Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Tuesday. The team includes Morcha general secretary Roshan Giri and prominent leaders like Harkabahadur Chhetri.
