New Delhi: Making development its key poll plank in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, Congress will release a vision document next week encapsulating the party's plans for the all-round development of the state.
"Vision Document 2020" will showcase the party's roadmap for UP's development in a bid to convince people to give Congress a chance to bring about a change in the state, which has been ruled for more than two decades by BJP, SP and BSP, party sources said.
The document based on the theme "Justice, Development and Right (Nyaya, Vikas aur Adhikar)" to be released from ten important cities in the state simultaneously next week, will unveil the party's development programmes with the focus on Dalits, farmers and youths.
The document will enlist very ambitious plans like setting up 1000 skill development centres to provide jobs to to 20 lakh unemployed youths and amendments in law to check the persecution of females.
Congress will also lay out special development plans for regions like Bundelkhand in a bid to blunt Mayawati's attempt to woo voters through the proposal of creating four separate states out of UP.
Addressing a rally in Ballia and Deoria yesterday, Rahul Gandhi blamed BSP, BJP and SP for the backwardness of Uttar Pradesh, claiming that Congress alone could bring a change.
