In a shocking turn of events at a polling booth in Andhra Pradesh, a YSR Congress Party MLA slapped a voter after he allegedly objected to the legislator jumping the queue at a polling station in Guntur on Monday. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

The Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP’s MLA, A Sivakumar is seen walking towards the voter and slapping him on the face. In response, the voter returned the slap. Meanwhile, the MLA’s supporters joined him, launching a group attack on the voter.
Other voters at the polling booth are seen trying to break up the assault while the legislator’s aides continued to hit the voter.

Voting for the fourth phase of the general elections is underway across 96 constituencies in nine states and one Union Territory (UT). Andhra Pradesh’s 25 Lok Sabha seats and 175 Assembly seats have gone to polls simultaneously on Monday.
