New Delhi: Life’s truly good when you get booze delivered at your doorstep, in well under an hour! With Amazon’s new service you can actually see this coming true.
The e-commerce giant has started a one and two-hour delivery service for beer, wine, and hard liquor through its Prime Now service.
While London was the first city to get the service in June, Seattle will be the first US city to have booze-delivery made available through Prime Now, re/code reports.
Prime Now is Amazon’s instant delivery service currently available in parts of nine American cities and exclusive to members of the $99 Amazon Prime shipping membership. With limited goods from a smaller catalogues, eligible products are delivered within two hours for no delivery charge, and in one hour for $7.99.
Startups including Drizly and Minibar are focused on building businesses exclusively around same-day delivery of alcohol.
An Amazon spokesperson said, ““We will continue to learn from customers and if they love the offering of alcohol in the service, we will look to continue to expand it.”
