After receiving Millions of inputs regarding the accessibility of locations, Google is now confident enough to release the data for usage by its users.

The accessibility feature for wheelchair users came into being as a result of Google’s ‘20% Project’ wherein its employees are encouraged to spend 20 percent of their time on side projects which are not related to their main work.

This feature can also prove helpful to parents with prams or people using canes as per Akasaka.
