New Delhi: Taiwan-based smartphone maker HTC Corporation has picked its Indian unit's marketing chief Manu Seth to head South Asia marketing division.
"Manu Seth, currently Head of Marketing for HTC India, will become Senior Director, Head of Marketing for South Asia," HTC Corporation said in a statement.
In his new role, Seth will be responsible for designing and orchestrating the marketing strategies for South Asia markets and helping to establish HTC as a brand of choice amongst the consumers, it said.
The announcement comes within week of HTC appointing India unit head Faisal Siddiqui new Regional President of its South Asia operations. Seth who has been with HTC since 2011 will directly report to Siddiqui.
HTC has set target to achieve 10 per cent market share in India by 2015 in terms of volume from about 7 per cent estimated at present.
The company gets maximum business from smartphones priced in the range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 in the country.
