OnePlus Watch 2 has been announced and the wider rollout includes India as well. OnePlus launched the first-gen Watch a few years back, and it didn’t go well. The company is now ready to make up for the lost time, and what better way than to bring a new smartwatch.
Unlike the first model, the Watch 2 is powered by Google’s WearOS 4 platform and you get a Snapdragon Gen chip under the hood. But things get exciting as the battery life claims seem the tallest we have heard in the ecosystem.
OnePlus Watch 2 Price In India
The OnePlus Watch 2 has been priced in India at Rs 24,999 and the company has one 46mm Wi-Fi model available in the market. There are some bank offers that can help you get some discounts.
OnePlus Watch 2 Features
OnePlus Watch 2 has a unique focus for a smartwatch. It runs on the WearOS 4 platform that now benefits from the use of two operating systems on the device. OnePlus says it can push all the high-performance activities to the main OS, while keeping the basic ones limited to the RTOS platform.
The company has gone with a dual chipset mode as well, which promises a battery life of up to 100 hours, which is more than anything that a WearOS watch offers. OnePlus claims the switch between the OS will be seamless, and for the price tag we’re hoping the technology works as advertised.
The watch gets 32GB of storage and the 2GB RAM keeps the device ticking. The company has given equal focus to design and the materials used to make it vouch for the quality. It features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and the chassis is built from stainless steel.
It has a 500mAh battery that supports full charge in one hour using the proprietary charging pin. Having WearOS means the Watch 2 has access to the Play Store for any app and links to the Health Connect app for fitness tracking.
