New Delhi: Foraying into the Indian handset market, QiKu, a joint venture between smartphone maker Coolpad and Chinese Internet company Qihoo 360, has announced the launch of its first smartphone for the Indian market. Named QiKU Q Terra, the new phone will be available from December 5.

The QiKU Q Terra will cost Rs 19,999 if bought through an invite, and Rs 21,999 without an invite or say, under open sale. Invites for the phone will be available on the QiKU website, QiKU forum, and the Gadget 360 website.

The phone features a 6-inch 1080p display, screen-to-body ratio of 83% and a bezel of 1.4mm. It sports two 13 megapixel cameras with a dual-tone LED flash at the rear and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Under its hood is a hexa-core CPU paired with 3 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage space of 16 GB, with an option to expand its memory up to 128 GB.

The phone has a fingerprint sensor at the back and packs a 3700mAh battery.

The dual-SIM 4G phone supports a micro SIM and a nano SIM. The phone that runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is claimed to let users uninstall any stock app except for two - Dialler and Messages.
