Samsung Halts Shipment Of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Earbuds: Here's Why
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro features a new AirPods-like stem design and promises other audio upgrades to compete in the premium range.

Samsung has announced a temporary halt in shipments of its newly released Galaxy Buds 3 Pro wireless headphones. The decision comes in response to feedback from early users who reported issues with the silicone ear tips, which are prone to damage during removal. According to Android Authority, Samsung has confirmed that the delivery of the Buds 3 Pro to distribution channels will be paused until the issue is resolved.

“To ensure all products meet our quality standards, we have temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices to distribution channels to conduct a full quality control evaluation before shipments to consumers take place. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause,” the tech giant in its statement to Android Authority said.

The company also specified that if a consumer already has the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and is experiencing any problems, “they should contact or visit their nearest Samsung Service Centre.”

The third-generation Galaxy Buds from Samsung have a completely new design, with a stem that resembles the Apple AirPods and a redesigned cover. There are reports that a few of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro model’s early adopters have had product quality problems.

Samsung has attached the soft silicon ear tips to the buds using a hard plastic ring, according to a report by The Verge. Nevertheless, some customers have found that the silicone can tear away from the attachment ring when attempting to remove the ear tips to determine the proper fit or for cleaning, leaving the plastic part stuck to the buds.

On its South Korean website, the company also provides instructions for removing and replacing the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro ear tips. The website warns against removing the ear tips with your fingernails because they “may tear.” The manufacturer advised against twisting or pressing on the ear tips; instead, turn them and carefully remove them from the buds.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 3 will be available in India beginning in August 2024, alongside the basic Galaxy Buds 3 and other ecosystem devices such as the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. Meanwhile, the firm has not released any official statement regarding the Buds Pro 3’s altered availability in India.
