Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Journey
- Kapil Sharma started his career in showbiz as a contestant in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Reportedly, he was rejected in the Amritsar audition round for the reality show.
- Later, Kapil was selected in the Delhi audition round and went on to win the 2007 season. Kapil received a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh for winning the comedy reality show.
- After winning in 2007, Kapil Sharma competed in Sony TV’s Comedy Circus.
- In 2013, he launched his own show, Comedy Nights With Kapil on Colors TV. This show was produced by his own production company, K9 Productions.
- He eventually relaunched The Kapil Sharma Show in 2016. The show became quite popular and showcased notable people from numerous fields.
- His debut Netflix comedy special, Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet, was released in 2022.

The Accidental Comedian

Kapil Sharma debuted in Bollywood with the Abbas Mustan film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon in 2015, which earned favourable reviews. The film cemented his reputation as a versatile entertainer and broadened his influence beyond the small screen.
Eventually, he also worked on the film Firangi. Kapil Sharma rose to prominence as an actor with Nandita Das’ film Zwigato. Kapil starred in the film as a food delivery agent who takes on this new job after losing his post as factory floor in-charge.
