One of the most beloved fast food joints in the US, Chick-fil-A is known for serving delicious burgers, fries and whatnot. While people love to munch on their favourite Chick-fil-A classics as they are served, a man thought otherwise and ended up transforming it into an Indian feast. In a video going viral, the chef takes up the challenge of turning American fast food into an authentic Indian delicacy with onions, tomatoes, potatoes and many spices.
As the video plays, the chef begins by showing the items that he has, including Chick-fil-A sauce, mac n cheese, a chicken sandwich and waffle fries. After making a paste of ginger, garlic and salt, he fries onions to prepare a gravy with a lot of Indian spices. Next, he adds the chicken chunks from the burger to create a chicken curry-type dish.
Next in line are the waffle fries that he changes into french fries chaat by adding green chutney, salt, curd, lemon juice and cucumbers. Further, the mac n cheese is remolded by adding roasted paneer cubes. Last but not least, the burger buns are toasted and served with the chicken dish. After a lot of experimentation, the chef successfully transforms the platter with a fried chicken sandwich into a fried chicken pav bhaji, mac n cheese into a paneer tikka mac n cheese, and waffle fries into fried waffle chaat.
Shared on the social media handles of Danny Grubs, the video has garnered a lot of reactions. Many came forward to praise the chef’s cooking skills. A user wrote, “Bro cooked a whole other meal and threw some Chick-fila-A in there," while another commented, “What on earth did I just watch? That was incredible!"
Another comment read, “From fast food to a high end meal. Yumsss," while a person added, “This is why I go to Indian restaurants. Too many ingredients to cook at home. Looks amazing."
A user also remarked, “Not a fan of the paneer (never been a fan), but the chaat, and chicken are BUSSIN!!!!" The video has raked in over 1,00,000 views on Facebook and more than 1 million views on Instagram.
