Delivery Partners To Zomato CEO About Their Job Perks: 'We Don't Have To Ask Anyone for Leaves'
Deepinder Goyal was informed by Umesha, a Bengaluru-based Zomato delivery executive, that he still had autonomy despite being employed by Zomato.

Deepinder Goyal, Zomato’s CEO, recently met with three of the company’s delivery partners to obtain feedback. When asked about the benefits of working at Zomato, all three individuals noted the flexibility that comes with their jobs. The delivery partners stated that they operate according to their schedules and are not accountable to anyone. They are in charge of their own work and are free to take leaves anytime they like. The video of the interview was shared by the Zomato boss on his Instagram handle.

Goyal was informed by Umesha, a Bengaluru-based Zomato delivery executive, that he still had autonomy despite being employed by Zomato.

“If I do my work well, no one complains,” he claimed.

“Main apna khud ka malik hun (I am my own boss),” the delivery partner from Bengaluru remarked, mentioning that he previously had his own company. Umesha said, “I still feel like I am my own boss.”

Vinish V, a Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala-based Zomato delivery partner, had similar thoughts. Vinish told Goyal, “I am happy.”

He talked about how he is “free” and doesn’t need to ask anyone for time off. He went on to clarify that if he isn’t feeling like working, he cancels his gigs and enjoys his time off.

“It’s not like this at other places.”

Goyal questioned Jaswinder Singh, who works in Chandigarh, about the distinctions between working for Zomato and other businesses.

“I don’t have anyone bossing me around,” the delivery partner said.

According to Singh, he works independently and may speak with his team leader about any concerns his restaurant partner may have.

He continued by saying that their team leader listens to them, which makes him extremely excellent. He always has a solution available when they message or phone him.

According to the caption, Jaswinder, Vinish and Umesha joined Zomato around three years ago. Goyal said he has gained a great deal of knowledge and suggestions on how to make their processes better.

This comes after Goyal was criticised by comedian Kunal Kamra over the operational conditions of the corporation’s delivery partners. Kamra had inquired whether Zomato’s CEO could provide an overall number of delivery partners and their median salaries.
