Breaking Bad is perhaps one of the iconic crime-drama television series ever. The plot revolves around a high-school chemistry teacher who turns a drug dealer to secure his family’s financial future when he is detected with cancer. The series was replete with great characters, be it Brian Cranston as Walter White or Aaron Paul, his former student and accomplice. One of the memorable performances in Breaking Bad was by Jiancarlo Esposito as druglord Gus Fring. His famous walk through the bullets when cops raid his premises is a scene that fans still cannot forget.
Fans have now taken that particular scene a step further by making edits that makes it a crossover to remember. In the nearly four-minute video, we see Gus Fring walking through raining bullets as almost all Breaking Bad actors try to stop him. Things get more interesting as iconic characters from film and television are thrown into the scene. From Arnold Scharzenegger’s Terminator to Tom Cruise’s Maverick to Keanu Reeves’ Neo, everyone tries but fails.
Wait, there’s more. In comes Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings, DC’s Flash, Game of Thrones’ Danerys Targaryan and her dragon to stop Gus but they can’t either. The video culminates with Gus stopping at one point and rising both his arms, daring a sniper to shoot him.
Since being shared on YouTube, thevideo has amassed over 346,000 views and garnered flurry of reactions in the comments section.
“The reveal of him standing 20 meters away from Mike and Jesse after that 4 minute walk is hilarious," one user exclaimed.
“At first I was like “yeah, every Breaking Bad character possible is shooting at him, neat" then the Terminator shows up and it evolved into chaos. I love it," another remarked.
“I love how the terminator just appears out of nowhere, fires an rpg, completely misses, and then instantly leaves," someone quipped.
“How is no one talking about the flash edit? That part was insane!" a person commented.
“That escalated slowly then extremely fast lol. Absolutely incredible. Hats off to ya amazing editing dude!," one praised.
“I can’t imagine how long it takes to rotoscope every character and match the lighting/colour grading, insane editing, props to you and all the work you put in, incredible work," added another.
Breaking Bad is created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The series features Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, among others.
