'Next National Duty:' MBA Chaiwala Founder Prafull Billore Hints At Upcoming Mission

MBA Chaiwala founder Prafull Billore triggered a memefest, thanks to his unique self-trolling ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 final between India and South Africa. Billore shared several pictures, superimposing himself in photos of the South African cricketers on X (formerly Twitter).

Billore, also known as ‘MBA Chaiwala,’ is understood to have done this to reverse-voodoo South Africa’s prospects of winning their maiden T20 World Cup title. The strategy did the trick as India got the better of the Proteas to lift their second T20 World Cup trophy. Following India’s victory, a jubilant Billore came up with a series of pictures that showed him donning a white T-shirt with the word ‘panoti’ (unlucky) written on it in all caps. The line following the word panoti on his T-shirt was, “Hate is the new love,”

“I am crying,” Billore wrote on X sharing a picture of himself in the white T-shirt.

Reacting to the post, one social media user hilariously wrote, “Thank you, bro, you were our impact player from outside.”

Another person cheekily commented, “Nation won’t forget your contribution, lord Praful, Official national panoti.”

“12th player of Indian cricket team,” read another comment.

“Your power is unreal,” said another user.

“You’ve made it, thanks again,” wrote one person.

Here are some other reactions.

Prafull Billore’s somewhat unfortunate tryst with the word panoti started when he shared a selfie with Team Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav. Billore shared the picture on June 21, a day after Surya scored a sublime half century against Afghanistan at the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup. But Surya failed to continue the momentum and in the very next game he could score just six runs against Bangladesh. A dip in Surya’s form resulted in a social media outrage with many labelling Billore as a panoti.

But Prafull Billore was in no mood to stop and ponder. Instead, he decided to embrace the trend gratefully and twist it hilariously to reverse-jinx it in India’s favour. He went on to post superimposed pictures of him along with English cricketers. This did the damage, as Billore would have wanted and India beat England in the semi-final by a resounding margin of 68 runs.

The T20 World Cup might have come to an end but Prafull Billore is not willing to stop the latest meme culture that has taken the internet by storm. Hinting at what to come next, he posted yesterday, “Next National Duty! I am up,” along with an Indian flag.

Meanwhile, in the final game of the T20 World Cup, chasing a target of 177, South Africa fell short by seven runs. Virat Kohli was adjudged Player of the Match in the summit clash for his spectacular knock of 76 off 59 balls.
