Snake Tries To Enter Bird's Nest To Steal Eggs; Watch What Happens Next

All animals and birds share some basic features, i.e.- their ability to move, reproduce and protect their offspring. This can be seen in a large variety of species that reside in different regions. The ability to protect was also seen in a clip uploaded by a social media user named Travel Explore Protect on Instagram. The video starts with a visual of a snake Boomslang slithering into the opening of a nest presumably to steal the eggs of the birds. As seen in the video, there are two nests on a tree and the Boomslang is trying to enter one of them.

The birds leave no stone unturned to harm the snake with their pointed beaks to dissuade it from its objective. Initially, it leaves no impact on the snake but it can be seen leaving the nest after the repeated attacks of the birds. The caption of the video reads, “Birds x Snake, Nature is remarkable. To protect what was inside this nest, birds continued to peck and dive at the boomslang which slithered into the opening to see what it could find. How many birds did you see join in on the fight? Watch until the end to see if their efforts paid off.”

Social media users loved the clip and appreciated how the mother birds are defending their children. Another commented, “Egg-stealing snake was given a lesson.” Others showered the comment section with hearts and emoticons.

A similar clip was uploaded on Instagram on December 30, 2023, which shows how a bird dared to fight a serpent. The clip shows a bird flying around the tree and continuously trying to attack the serpent. This gives the impression that a nest of the bird lies in the interior of the snake. Initially, her attempts fail but at last, she manages to get hold of the snake with her beak and falls on the ground with it.

It was followed by a fight between the two which ended in the death of the bird. The end of the video shows that the snake has wrapped itself tightly around the bird which strangled him and resulted in its death. Social media users criticised the people who shot this video in the comment section.
