This Girl Gang Cooks Chicken In Electric Kettle And You'll Be Surprised With The Result
The video of this unique 'Chicken in an electric kettle' recipe was shared on Instagram and the internet seems to love it.

Living in a hostel is undoubtedly an experience full of adventure. While you can make a lot of memories with your roommates, there are certain drawbacks to that life as well. One of them is the quality of food served in these hostels across the country. Being left with no other choice, most students are accustomed to cooking a modest plate of food inside their rooms using electric cooking gadgets. These include quick noodles and boiling some rice. However, for those instances when you are craving something special, this group of hostellers have a solution. These girls prepared a lavish chicken dish, all in a kettle.

The video of this unique recipe was shared on Instagram with the caption “Pov: Hostel life,” embedded in it. The video shows a group of girls peeling an onion on a platter. Some garlic cloves and apparently, spring onion leaves are also seen kept aside. After slicing everything as needed, one girl places raw chicken pieces in an electric water kettle. She adds water and then covers it with all of the chopped vegetables, including some potatoes. Then she adds all of the spices and allows it to boil. While the video does not show how long the hostelers let it boil, once done, the girl sprinkles chopped coriander on top. Following this, many girls are seen enjoying the chicken gravy with plain rice.

The popular video has been swamped with comments from users. Many hostelers confessed to utilising their electric water kettle to make food in their dormitories. One user said, “Hostelers can cook any dish in a kettle.” Some were surprised at their attempt and said, “There’s no way they cooked chicken in a kettle.”

An individual joked, “Kettle be like: maa, meri shaktiyon ka galat istemal ho raha hai,” while another commented, “To wash this vessel is the greatest nightmare.”

Another person was concerned about the electricity bill and sarcastically said, “Hostel owner be like: Bijli ka bill tera baap Bharega.”

One netizen who seems to not be quite a fan of the device expressed, “I don’t know how you guys cook chicken in this kettle. I can’t even cook good Maggi in the kettle, it always burns, also my kettle always gives me a shock while making Maggi.”

A user suggested, “Instead of buying a kettle go buy an electric cooker. It is more convenient.”
