This Vendor’s Dough Tossing Skills Are Next Level; Don't Trust Us? Watch This Video
The video was taken at a food joint named ‘Flying Paratha’ near Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital.

When it comes to making paratha, people often toss the dough in the air after rolling it into a perfect circle. People toss the dough in the air so that the flour gets evenly distributed. However, now a video is going viral that shows a street-side vendor tossing the paratha dough in such a way that it lands directly on a hot pan, a few feet away. He repeats this action multiple times and never fails. The undated video shows perfect coordination between the two cooks, one who tosses the dough and the other one who cooks it on the hot pan.

As per the poster placed in the video’s background, this video was taken at a food joint named ‘Flying Paratha’. The address mentioned in the poster mentions that this joint is located at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, near gate number six. This video has gathered over four lakh views on X and over 2,000 likes. It shows the immense talent of street chefs who rarely get recognition for their impressive skills.

Commenting on this video, an X user wrote, “Woww! The Flying parathe!” Another person remarked, “Practice makes, parathe fly perfect…!!!” Praising the cook’s skills, an X user wrote, “He’s got everything, spin, drift, dip.” Someone jokingly wrote, “I’ve actually had this. My wife threw a parantha at me once.”

This is not the first time that a street vendor has earned much praise for his dough-tossing skills.

In June last year, an X user named Tansu Yegen shared a video that showed a vendor performing almost acrobatic moves with dough. The unnamed vendor takes a thinly rolled-out dough and throws it across the air. Instead of falling on the ground, the dough comes back to him as if it is a frisbee. After making this aerodynamic move, the man continues to play with the dough without ruining its shape. He perfectly rotates the dough on his finger and spins it around his body as if juggling with a basketball.

The onlookers are impressed with his moves as they start clapping. It is unclear when or where this clip was taken. The video was captioned, “Be proud of your work.” This 18-second video has gathered over 13,000 likes. Commenting on it, an X user wrote, “It matters less what you do than how you do it. Excellence is always admired.”
