Incidents of road rage are known to escalate from minor scuffles into major acts of violence within minutes. Now, a video that shows one such incident is going viral. The video shows a slightly damaged car being parked on the sidelines of a busy road when another car rams right into it. As a result, both cars get severely damaged.
The person who deliberately crashed his car then gets out and tries to get inside the car that he crashed into. Soon, a person who was watching the scene unfold and appears to be the owner of the crashed car confronts the man for the collision. According to The Sun, the video seems to show the Mercedes driver striking the other motorist on the head with a rock. The two exchange punches before separating. The video ends abruptly.
The video, which was taken by a bystander, is going viral. This incident reportedly took place in Coventry, a city in the West Midlands region in central England. The Sun reported that the fight started when a one-car driver rear-ended another car while turning out of a junction. After the small collision, one driver got out and started taking photos of the damage. That’s when the other car driver decided to cause another crash. The video only shows a portion of this incident.

Ever since this video went viral, it has raised the question of worsening cases of road rage. Commenting on the video, an X user equated the behaviour of the men in the video with feral animals and wrote, “Fascinating behaviour, reminds me of a safari trip.”

The Sun spoke to the anonymous videographer who had taken the clip. The videographer said, “I saw the Mercedes come out of that junction even though it was not his right of way. The other guy in the car behind him was beeping, so the Mercedes did an emergency brake, and the guy behind him went straight into the back of him. I didn’t film it, but the other man was trying to run the Mercedes driver over at first as he got out of the car to take pictures for insurance.” He added, “When he couldn’t hit him, that’s when he drove straight into the side of the Mercedes.” The man said that he was shocked at the scene and felt like it was straight out of a movie.
According to Sun, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said that the police arrived at the scene on May 29 at 7 pm. They arrested one man on suspicion of affray with regards to the incident. The man has since been bailed out and the investigation is ongoing.
