In this era of social media, people dancing in public places and making videos have become quite common. From tourist spots to roads, public transport, and even temples, it is not hard to find such content creators and their unique antics. Such actions often cause outrage and disturbance for people. With that said, a video of a young woman’s bold dance in front of a government building has left the internet fuming. The incident is from Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, where the woman chose the Collectorate building to create her dance video.
Shared on Instagram, the video shows the woman dressed in a black saree grooving to the popular Tip Tip Barsa Pani song from Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon’s Mohra. The video mockingly mentions how she did not choose other public sites like the fort, Baijtaal, or the Italian Garden but the collectorate premises.

According to reports, the woman’s actions and bold dance moves were deemed objectionable, prompting some to lodge a complaint against the woman. The video has also garnered the attention of social worker Akash Barua, who has submitted a written complaint to the Gwalior SDM, demanding strict action against her.
Expressing concerns over the negative branding of the city, Barua also asserted that it would send the wrong message to the youth.
“A large number of people visit historical places every day. If such videos are shot at such public spots, they can bring a bad name to the city,” he said, as quoted by the Free Press Journal.
Many similar videos on the internet continue to reignite concerns over the trend of public dancing in inappropriate places. Earlier, another video gained traction from the Mumbai airport, where a woman was spotted shooting dance reels at the premises. The video was widely circulated, with many calling her out for creating a public nuisance.

While these incidents remain on the rise, the administration has time and again asked the public to maintain decorum, especially in public places, but seemingly in vain.
