Woman Decides To Boycott Flipkart After Delivery Agent Misbehaves With Her Father, Company Reacts
A middle-aged man faced difficulty in providing an OTP to the agent during a Flipkart delivery.

A recent incident involving a Flipkart delivery executive has sparked the rage of a social media user, prompting her to share her negative and bitter experience on X (formerly Twitter). The user, named Deity has posted about a situation where her father faced difficulties in providing the one-time password (OTP) to the agent during a Flipkart delivery. In her post, she narrated how the delivery agent became agitated and spoke rudely to her father when he could not locate the 4-digit code on his phone at the time of delivery. The OTP plays a major role in ensuring the secure handover of packages to the intended recipient by the delivery person.

In this particular instance, when Deity’s father struggled to share the code promptly, the delivery agent from Flipkart started shouting at him and even said, “Kuch aata nahi hai toh order kyun karte ho! (Why order stuff if you do not know how to do anything!)”.

Expressing her dissatisfaction, Deity also wrote that she has decided to not place any further orders with Flipkart and criticised the delivery agent’s disrespectful behavior. She emphasised that such communication with customers was unacceptable.

Flipkart, in response to the social media post, issued an apology for the inappropriate conduct of their delivery executive. The company acknowledged the severity of the incident and urged Deity to share her order details via direct message (DM) to address the matter and ensure the security of her Flipkart account information.

Flipkart’s reply read, “We take such incidents very seriously and are deeply sorry to hear about the executive’s misconduct. Give us a chance to fix this by sharing your order details via DM to keep your Flipkart account information safe.”

Despite the company’s apology, the X post garnered a slew of negative reactions from other users. Many criticised Flipkart’s customer policies and highlighted instances of rude behavior towards customers, especially the elderly.

“Being rude to elderly people is one of the worst one can do. You can lodge a complaint or rate him low in feedback. It must be an Ekart logistic issue, you can use Flipkart tho….deals are great,” wrote a user.

Users also expressed disappointment in Flipkart’s alleged scams and poor customer service. “Flipkart does so much scam and then doesn’t give you your money back. So poor customer service. Better to buy from other appliances,” another replied.

The X user’s post gained significant traction, accumulating almost 1,70,000 views and eliciting hundreds of reactions from fellow users who resonated with the dissatisfaction expressed in the incident.
