A woman named Hannah was left traumatised after opening a box she found buried deep in her garden. Hannah was doing some gardening and was busy digging when she came across the lid of the metal box. “What do you think this is?” she asked in a video on her TikTok page.She added that her father had suggested it could be a deceased pet, but Hannah said she hoped it wasn’t. “Usually you bury something like this at the bottom of the garden, or you get it cremated, right?” she asked. Hannah shared “I don’t know. But the guy who lived here used to keep birds and I found quite a few birds. But it’s too big for a bird I think so I don’t know what it is.” In the comments, people were quick to chime in, offering their own suggestions as to what could be in the box. “Time capsule?” one wrote. “Don’t open it, it’s a ghost box,” another added. “A treasure?” a third asked. And Hannah replied: “Honestly I was so delirious thinking it could be!”
In another video, Hannah offered an update, saying it was indeed a dead pet. “It was, as a few people said, a dead pet,” she said. “And now I’m traumatised because I had to see it. But yeah, I just spent the last two hours digging it up and then had to take the lid off, which basically fell apart”, she added.
It was quite a big box, but when she took the lid off, it was all wet and damp, and there was a shower curtain and a couple of fleece blankets in there. She really didn’t want to look, but she had to look and it was someone’s dog. “I spoke to my neighbours who live a few doors down and knew the person who lived here, and they said he had a dog that died a few years ago”, she said.
Hannah also admitted that she had no idea what to do with the remains now because if she reburied them, she would have to take the wet dog out of the box and put it in a new box. She had also googled and found out that there was a company that could dispose of the remains for her, but she would have to pay for that.
