Jaishankar Discusses Ways To Deepen India-UAE Strategic Partnership With Visiting Minister Hashimy
The UAE minister on her official visit also met Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra and reviewed multi-faceted relations between India and UAE

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with visiting UAE Minister Reem Al Hashimy on Tuesday and discussed steps to further a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

“Delighted to meet UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy. Discussed further steps in our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Also exchanged perspectives on the regional and global situation,” Jaishankar said in a post on X.

The UAE minister, who is on an official visit to New Delhi, also met Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra and reviewed multi-faceted ties between India and UAE. “They reviewed the entire gamut of our multi-faceted bilateral relations, and discussed avenues to further deepen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on X.

Over the last nine years, India’s cooperation with UAE in diverse sectors such as trade and investment, defence and security, food and energy security and education has grown manifold. India’s cultural and people-to-people link is stronger than ever.

UAE minister’s trip comes two months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to the West Asian country in February. During his trip, Modi held bilateral talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and attended a grand inauguration of a Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi.
