North Korea continues to inflict intolerable cruelty and hardship on millions of its own people: US
Washington: The United States placed North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un on its sanctions blacklist on Wednesday, calling him directly responsible for a lengthy list of extreme human rights abuses in the country.
"Under Kim Jong-Un, North Korea continues to inflict intolerable cruelty and hardship on millions of its own people, including extrajudicial killings, forced labor, and torture," said Adam Szubin, Acting Treasury Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.
