Hyundai’s one of the hot-selling products Creta, which has been dominating the mid-size segment, is witnessing a long waiting period. It has been reported that the petrol models are seeing 2-3 months of waiting, while the diesel variants have around 5-6 months long waiting.
As per the details shared by the company’s COO, Tarun Garg, 90 percent of the customers are opting for the mid-spec and top-spec variants, while 43 percent of customers are straight going for the diesel version, resulting in a long waiting period on the models.
Production Capacity Increased
To lower the waiting period on models, and deliver them on time, the brand has ramped up the production capacity. It has added 50,000 units of capacity per annum, which now stands at a total capacity of 8,25,000 units. Reports also revealed that the production capacity is expected to reach 10 lakh units yearly.
