Air India's First Ferry Aircraft A350-900 Takes Off from Singapore, Check Details
In a view to expanding its global network, the Tata-owned airline acquired the country's first Airbus A350-900 aircraft last month.

The leading carrier Air India on Friday operated its first ferry flight A350-900 from Singapore to Toulouse, flaunting the latest skin. It has been reported by the officials that the aircraft was given a fresh costume and paint work in Singapore.

Now, the aircraft has resumed its journey, going back to Toulouse for other important work. The aircraft is scheduled to be delivered in December 2023.

Sharing the news on the social media platform, Air India from its official handle tweeted ” Another step closer to the arrival of India’s most-awaited aircraft. Our @Airbus A350-900 takes off on its first ferry flight from Singapore to Toulouse in the new Air India colors. The airline added a link to its post, allowing users to track online.

Meanwhile, in a view to expanding its global network, the Tata-owned airline acquired the country’s first Airbus A350-900 aircraft last month. The report says the deal was done via a finance lease transaction with HSBC.

Officials also have informed that Air India’s first six Airbus A350-900 consignment is likely to reach India before 2023 ends. While, the remaining aircraft are scheduled to arrive somewhere in March, next year.

Apart from this, to make the network more strong, Air India has placed an order for 470 new aircraft. The list includes 20 Boeing, 787 Dreamliners, 34 A350-1000, 10 Boeing 777X widebody aircraft, 70 Airbus A321neo, 140 Airbus A320neo and 190 Boeing 737MAX narrowbody aircraft.
