Maruti Suzuki Inaugurates 5th Water ATM in Manesar
Earlier, the Company had set up four Water ATMs in Kasan, Dhana, Bas Khusla and Bas Hariya villages of Manesar, that have cumulatively dispensed more than 10 lakh litres of pure drinking water benefitting over 8000 households.

As a part of its Community Development endeavor, Maruti Suzuki has inaugurated the 5th Water ATM in Bhangrola village of Manesar.

Shri. Rao Narbir Singh Yadav, Cabinet Minister for PWD (B&R), Forest & ITI Departments, Govt. of Haryana inaugurated the Water ATM facility. He also inaugurated two science labs – one each for Physics and Chemistry – at Government Senior Secondary School, Bhangrola. Present at the occasion were the members of Village Panchayat and senior officials of Maruti Suzuki - AK Tomer, Executive Director (Corporate Planning) and GP Chadda, General Manager (CSR).

The Water ATM set up with the help of Water Life Foundation will benefit over 5000 residents in the village. Maruti Suzuki has invested around Rs.25 lakh in setting up this facility as the initial project cost, while the Panchayat of Bas Hariya will own the project and provide water and electricity to run the Water ATM. Waterlife India will operate and maintain the plant for a period of ten years.

Earlier, the Company had set up four Water ATMs in Kasan, Dhana, Bas Khusla and Bas Hariya villages of Manesar, that have cumulatively dispensed more than 10 lakh litres of pure drinking water benefitting over 8000 households.

Mr. Ranjit Singh, General Manager (CSR and Sustainability), Maruti Suzuki, said, “WaterLife has partnered with us in setting up this facility. The facility uses 10 stage water filtration, a technology that is robust and sustainable with minimal water rejection. This has helped us provide safe drinking water at very minimal costs."

For 100% adherence to quality standards, the Water ATM is fitted with a Water Quality display screen. The screen displays the purity of water in terms of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), temperature and ph level which is checked and displayed real time for the users.

The two labs –Physics and Chemistry – at Government Senior Secondary School, Bhangrola have been set up with an investment of Rs 27 lakh and will benefit students in 11th and 12th class.
