McLaren Adds Sport Pack and Design Editions for 570GT
The McLaren Sports Series models will now offer a greater choice of specification and an enhanced range of options as the company brings in new features to upgrade its Coupé and GT models to bring them more inline with the 570S Spider that was launched last year.

In case a McLaren 570GT isn't quite desirable enough as it is to tempt you to take the plunge and buy one, the British supercar manufacturer is enhancing the Sport Series even further with the addition of a new Sport Pack and Design Editions for the 570GT. The McLaren Sports Series models will now offer a greater choice of specification and an enhanced range of options as the company brings in new features to upgrade its Coupé and GT models to bring them more inline with the 570S Spider that was launched last year.

Of the cars being upgraded, the 570GT gets the lion's share of the new goodies with carbon-ceramic brake discs now part of the standard equipment, and the introduction of the Sport Pack, which lets buyers specify a 570GT with the same dynamic settings as the 570S Coupé and Spider.

The 570GT is a model that offers a more relaxed drive than the 570S Coupé partly due to lowered suspension spring rate stiffness and a 2 percent reduction in steering ratio for improved stability at greater speeds. Those who prefer the idea of a car tailored more towards a GT driving experience will welcome this combination, but some buyers have requested that the sharper, more precise dynamic behavior of the 570S Coupé be made available with the GT body style too.

The Sport Pack for the 570GT addresses these demands with a number of component and calibration changes, which include the steering rack, damper actuators and uprights that are already found on the Coupé and Spider. Also, the adaptive damping, steering and Electronic Stability Control are all the same 'S' tune. Add in a set of Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires that are also included as part of the Sport Pack, and the result is a driving experience the same as the 570S Coupé and Spider for a relatively modest extra investment.

Five new, Design Edition Packs are also now available for the 570GT. The packs bring together popular exterior colors with the By McLaren luxury design interior that best complement them, but for a significantly lower financial outlay than if specifying them separately. The new Design Editions are: Silica White exterior with Saddle Tan and Carbon Black interior, Pacific Blue with Jet Black and Areia, Blade Silver with Natural Tan and Carbon Black, Fire Black with Jet Black and Areia, and Storm Grey with Jet Black and Almond White.
