The leading car maker Tata has launched one of its much-awaited hatchbacks Altroz Racer, a sportier version of Altroz. The model has been introduced at the starting price of Rs 9.5 lakh, and the top model goes up Rs 11 lakh (all ex-showroom).

The company has already kickstarted the booking for the same, allowing interested customers to reserve the vehicle from authorized showrooms across the nation.

Style and Design

The four-wheeler somehow shares the same style statement as the Altoz. However, the company has made some major cosmetic changes from both outside and inside, making it look stand out from above abovementioned spec.

Visually, Altroz Racer comes with an aggressive stance from the front, featuring an LED headlight setup, paired with sleek DRLS, and the fog lamps have been placed at the bottom. The bonnet has been blacked out, where two-white strips on it make it more sportier.

To make it quite different from the standard model, it gets ‘Racer’ badging on its front fender, and has an ‘iTurbo+’ signature on the boot lid. Now, the vehicle runs on stylish 16-inch alloy wheels.

Interior Highlights

When it comes to the interior, the cabin is treated with orange accents, covering AC vents, and gearbox surrounding, while the seating gets a combination of white and orange strips. The other highlight elements include ventilated front seats, leatherette multi-functional steering wheel, automatic climate control, power windows, smart key and push button start among others.

The company has also included a 10.16 inch fully digital instrument console and 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, which supports all the wireless car connect technology.

Engine and power

Under the hood, it uses a 1.2 liter turbocharged petrol engine, which generates a maximum 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. It is the same unit, which powers the newly launched Nexon. It is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission.
