Tata Motors has finally launched the much-anticipated Safari Facelift in the country. The price starts at Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes as high as Rs 25.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The homegrown automaker had already commenced the bookings of the SUV at a token amount of Rs 25000 earlier this month.
Tata Safari Facelift: Design
The new Safari stands out in style, setting itself apart from its 5-seater sibling, the Harrier. The SUV flaunts a a bold and prominent upper section. The design highlights include silver faux skid plate, split LED headlamps, a full-width LED light bar, LED DRLs, and a fresh set of alloy wheels. The rear end boasts of LED tail lamps with a connecting lights bar and a redesigned bumper.

Inside, the Safari facelift welcomes you with a familiar yet upgraded layout, offering nuanced differences. It boasts a choice of two touchscreen sizes – 10.25-inch and 12.3-inch, depending on the trim. The SUV comes packed with an array of features that includes a touch-based HVAC control panel, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a sleek four-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata Motors logo. Besides these, other features include dual-zone climate control, ventilated front and second-row seats, a mind-blowing 10-speaker JBL-tuned sound system, rear window shades, a 360-degree camera, and a panoramic sunroof to enhance your journey. Safety is a top priority, with 7 airbags, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), hill hold control, and three-point seat belts with reminders for all passengers.

Under the hood, the Safari facelift keeps its powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine, delivering a robust 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. The automatic gearbox is available from the Adventure+ variant onwards, giving you the versatility to choose your driving style with three terrain response modes – Normal, Rough, and Wet – and three driving modes (Eco, City, and Sport). Tata Motors has rebranded its trim names as ‘Persona-based,’ offering four core trims – Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished. Each trim can be further customized with additional packages bearing a ‘+’ or ‘A’ suffix, ensuring your vehicle matches your unique preferences.
Tata Safari Facelift: Color Options
The Safari facelift comes in a variety of captivating colors, including Cosmic Gold, Galactic Sapphire, Lunar Slate, Stardust Ash, Stellar Frost, and Supernova Copper. The intriguing Oberon Black shade is exclusive to the Dark edition variants. Much like the Nexon and Nexon EV, each Safari trim offers its own unique exterior and interior color options. For instance, the Accomplished trims shine in the Cosmic Gold color.

As for competition, the revamped Tata Safari is poised for a showdown against the MG Hector Plus, the 7-seat Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio N, and Hyundai Alcazar, promising an exciting battle in the world of SUVs.
