Uber is bringing back its premium service, Uber Black, starting in Mumbai, offering a top-tier experience for riders.
This high-end service will cost 30-40 percent more than Uber’s current top option, Uber Premier, and is expected to be a hit with corporate travelers.
Uber Black promises a luxurious ride, featuring premium cars and top-rated drivers. Riders can also enjoy a personalized experience with features like quiet mode, temperature control, and luggage assistance. Plus, extended wait times and an extra five-minute pickup window come at no additional charge.
Originally launched in 2013 with luxury cars like Mercedes, BMW, and Audi, Uber Black later transitioned to popular models like Toyota Innova, Honda City, and Toyota Corolla. Now, it’s back with a new twist to meet the evolving demands of Indian customers.
According to Hindustan Times, Prabhjeet Singh, Uber’s India and South Asia President, shared his excitement: “We are thrilled to bring Uber Black back in an all-new avatar to meet the evolving aspirations of Indian customers and introduce the business class of back seats on Indian roads.”
Uber currently operates in over 125 cities in India with more than 1.1 million active drivers. The company is optimistic that Uber Black will cater to the rising demand for premium travel services.
