Mysore's Karyasidhdhi Anjaneya Temple Welcomes Thousands Seeking Solace And Solutions
It is believed that those who visit the temple for the darshan of Anjaneya must visit Patala Anjaneya and pray to him while offering coconuts.

The Karyasidhdhi Anjaneya temple in Mysore has emerged as a significant religious destination since its establishment in 2012. Drawing inspiration from the grand Rajasthan Jaisalmer Stone Temple, this temple is renowned as one of the most captivating Hanuman temples in the country. Situated near the Mysore-Ooty road at Sri Ganapati Satchidananda Ashram, the temple primarily honors Karyasiddhi Anjaneya, while also featuring the revered Patala Anjaneya for devotees seeking blessings and protection from life’s challenges.

The temple serves as a gathering point for devotees from across the state who come to perform various rituals and services dedicated to Lord Hanuman. These services range from offering gifts to the temple’s Archakas/Pundits, to engaging in Archana, Alankara, Pavamana Homa, and Manyu Sukta Anushthanam rituals. Notably, the Purna Phala Samarpana service enjoys significant popularity among devotees. As the temple’s name implies, a visit to this sacred site is believed to yield positive outcomes, with the deity’s blessings considered highly efficacious in resolving various issues.

A unique tradition at this temple involves offering coconuts to Lord Anjaneya. Devotees tie coconuts in a designated area during their visit and return to retrieve them after 16 days. The tied coconuts are then offered to the deity and later used to prepare sweets, which are distributed to others. This practice is believed to bring about the fulfilment of wishes, making the temple a sought-after destination for those seeking blessings and solutions to their problems. The temple offers darshan services from 8 a.m. to 12 noon every day of the week, with a nominal fee of Rs 10 for the darshan of Patala Anjaneya.

It’s worth noting that the Karya Siddhi Hanuman idol within this temple is a monolithic Anjaneya sculpture weighing approximately 200 tonnes. The intricate work on this colossal creation was carried out over 10 months by a team of 18 skilled sculptors under the guidance of Subramanya Archar. This impressive craftsmanship, along with the spiritual significance of the temple, attracts thousands of devotees daily.
