When Salman Khan Spoke About Aishwarya Rai Marrying Abhishek: 'Best Thing Any Ex BF Would...'

It has been almost 17 years since Aishwarya Rai married Abhishek Bachchan. The couple had an intimate wedding ceremony in Mumbai in 2007. While Salman has not crossed paths with Aishwarya since the wedding, he shares a cordial relationship with Abhishek and often greets him at events. Their meetings often remind us of his 2010 interview in which he made a rare comment about Aishwarya’s wedding. In the interview, he said that he was happy she married Abhishek and was a part of an illustrious family like the Bachchans.

Salman had appeared on India TV’s Aapki Adalat when he was asked about the rumours linking him with Aishwarya Rai. During the conversation, Salman got candid about Aishwarya’s wedding. “So many years have gone by. She’s somebody’s wife and I am very happy that she is married to Abhishek. I think Abhishek is a great guy and (she) married to a great family and they are very happy together. This is the best thing that any ex boyfriend would want,” he said.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai will celebrate their 17th wedding this year. They have a daughter named Aaradhya together.

On the other hand, Salman has chosen to remain unmarried but had expressed his wish to have a child last year. He said he was trying to have a baby through a surrogate but the change in surrogacy rules have made it difficult for him to have a child.

On the work front, Salman was last seen in Tiger 3. He will be seen hosting the finale episode of Bigg Boss 17 this weekend. He also has a few movies in the pipeline, including The Bull with Karan Johar.
