Indian-American Keskar named Boeing India chief
Dinesh A Keskar will be responsible expanding Boeing's initiative in India.

Houston: Aviation giant Boeing on Tuesday appointed Indian-American Dinesh A Keskar as Vice-President of Boeing International and the President of Boeing India.

The 54-year-old Keskar, originally from Rajkot, will represent the entire enterprise and be will be responsible for leading and expanding Boeing's initiative in India. he will take over the responsibilities from March 2009.

Since August 2004, Keskar has been Boeing Commercial Airplanes Vice-President of Sales for South and Southeast Asia.

"Dinesh has a proven track record for sales and market development in India," Shephard Hill, President of Boeing International, was quoted as saying by PTI.

"He is a well known and recognized expert in India's aerospace community. Dinesh has the experience, market knowledge and expertise to further enhance our partnership and collaboration with India," Hill said.

Before joining Boeing, Keskar worked as a research associate in the Flight Dynamics and Control Division at NASA.

In another development, Ian Thomas has been named as President of Boeing Australia and South Pacific.
