Crude prices have risen to above 70 dollar per barrel mark from below 40.
New Delhi: Crude having become costlier, people are worried if petrol and diesel prices will be hiked again.
Petroleum Minister Murli Deora too said that the rising crude prices are worrisome.
Crude prices have risen to above US $70 per barrel mark from below 40 dollar per barrel in the last six months.
Deora may have to hike fuel prices if the oil prices continue to spiral. Oil prices had peaked at US $147 per barrel in July last year but came down as recession gripped the global economy. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora said that the Government will take appropriate action against high crude prices.
“We are worried about the crude prices. We will take appropriate action,” Deora promised.
