South Films Japan And Jigarthanda Double X To Release On Netflix On ...

Karthi-starrer Japan, a Tamil heist action comedy written and directed by Raju Murugan, hit theatres on November 10. The movie features Anu Emmanuel, Sunil, Vijay Milton, and Jithan Ramesh in pivotal roles. While it received mixed reviews from both audiences and critics, Japan is set to make its OTT debut shortly.

Japan will be available for streaming on Netflix starting December 11. The movie will be accessible in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, as announced by the streaming service on social media.

The actor takes on the role of a famed burglar who boldly challenges the police to a duel, living a lavish lifestyle. The narrative is said to draw inspiration from the life of Tiruvarur Murugan, a diamond thief apprehended by authorities after a series of criminal activities.

On the other hand, director Karthik Subbaraj’s movie, Jigarthanda DoubleX, starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah, is gearing up for its streaming release after a successful theatrical run. The film is set to release on December 8 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, with the English version following soon. Produced by Stone Bench Films and featuring Naveen Chandra and Shine Tom Chacko in significant roles, the movie boasts music composed by Santosh Narayanan.
