The former Indian cricketer, Vinod Kambli has revealed that he his 'fit and fine' after a disturbing video had gone viral on social media where he struggled to walk.

The former Indian batter, Vinod Kambli has reassured fans with a fresh update stating that he is ‘fit and fine’. The former cricketer published an update on Friday, through a video on social media after a video went viral where he was struggling to walk.

In a video uploaded on X (formerly known as Twitter), Kambli gave the thumbs up to indicate that he is doing well. With a beaming smile on his face, the former Indian batter was pleased to update the many fans on his health.

“I am good, I am good Marcus. By the grace of God, I am surviving,” Kambli said in the video.

Kambli was a well-established Indian cricketer during his playing days. He had taken part in over 100 ODIs for the nation and also represented the country in 17 Test matches as well. The southpaw has also amassed nearly 10,000 runs in the first-class format with his best innings score being 262. He has also featured in 200 List A games scoring 65000 runs with his best being an unbeaten 149.

Kambli was childhood friends with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and the two had caused massive uproar in Mumbai with their bats as the two had shared a 664-run partnership during a school game where Kambli contributed 349 runs.

The former Indian international has had his fair share of health issues where he suffered a heart attack in 2013 while driving in Mumbai. He had also undergone an angioplasty procedure for two of his blocked arteries.

According to the user who uploaded the video, Kambli had spent time with his schoolmate Ricky Couto and First Class Umpire. Marcus Couto spent 5 hrs with him yesterday, during which he was in good spirits and spoke to several other friends.

Kambli was endearingly asked if he was fit enough to have a bat and Kambli in his confident usual self was more than ready to do so.
