Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, rang in his 37th birthday on Tuesday, April 30. The batter is currently busy representing Mumbai Indians in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rohit might not get enough time to celebrate the special occasion this year as his birthday coincided with an important away fixture against Lucknow Super Giants.

Rohit Sharma hogged the limelight with his performance in the 2007 T20 World Cup. He was picked by Deccan Chargers ahead of the inaugural IPL and stayed with the now-defunct franchise for three seasons.
Rohit joined Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2011 season and was named the captain of the side in 2013. Under his leadership, the team became the champions of the T20 competition in 2013, 2015, 2019, 2019 and 2020. Rohit was replaced by Hardik Pandya as the MI skipper ahead of this season.
