One of India’s legendary pacers reckons that the inclusion of the shining all-rounder from Mumbai could be ‘a complete masterstroke ‘ for India’s upcoming campaign for the T20 World Cup 2024.
Following the battle between IPL’s biggest rivals, Chennai Super Kings came out on top with a victory by 20 runs over the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and it was yet another fine display of batting by Shivam Dube who led the charge for CSK along with the skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. The two stitched a 90-run stand with both batters bringing up their respective half-centuries.
However, the spotlight was none other than MS Dhoni who gave the Men in Yellow an amazing finish by scoring three maximums off the final three balls by Hardik Pandya to help CSK set a target of 206 runs which proved to be the difference between the two sides.

The left-hander can play spin well but now he has also shown skills to take on the quicker bowlers too which puts him in contention for a spot in the squad. His prowess in batting through the middle stages of the innings could play an important role that the side is looking for as they aim to reclaim the title that has eluded them since the inaugural edition in 2007.
