'Khub Bhalo': How Sanju Samson Encouraged India Cricketer Before he Took a Wicket During 2nd T20I Against Bangladesh
Riyan Parag, who bowled two overs, gave away 16 runs and dismissed Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 16 in Delhi.

Sanju Samson was heard encouraging Riyan Parag in Bengali during India’s second T20I against Bangladesh on Wednesday, held in New Delhi. It was a one-sided fixture in the national capital with the hosts securing an 86-run win to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Once again, the Indian bowling unit appeared in top form and restricted Bangladesh to 135 while defending a mammoth 222-run target. India captain Suryakumar Yadav used seven bowlers in the game and each picked up at least one wicket.

Riyan Parag, who bowled two overs, gave away 16 runs and dismissed Mehidy Hasan Miraz on 16.

Wicketkeeper Sanju Samson lauded Parag’s efforts by praising him in Bangla.

“Khub bhalo (Very good)” said Samson to encourage part-timer Parag who did well to recover after being hit first a six by Mahmudullah at the start of his over and also managed to keep the batter quiet after conceding a free-hit in the same over.

Parag ended up getting the better of Miraz as he ended up being caught by substitute fielder Ravi Bishnoi at long-off. The young India cricketer looked pumped up following the dismissal.

Parag was also impressive with the bat. The all-rounder might have been in the middle for just six deliveries but he milked them for 15 runs.

Nitish Kumar Reddy was the top-performing batter for India. He slammed the maiden half-century of his T20I career and registered 74 runs at a 200-plus strike rate.

Reddy took over the charge after India lost three early wickets in the powerplay. He was ably supported by Rinku Singh, who also showcased his big-hitting prowess, smashing five fours and three sixes while hitting a half-century as well. The duo stitched a 108-run partnership to put India in control.

Hardik Pandya was once again impressive in the finisher’s role. He struck two fours and as many sixes to score 32 off 19 balls.

Bangladesh had a disastrous start to the chase, losing wickets regularly. And when Parag dismissed Miraz, the visitors were reeling at 80/5.

Mahmudullah tried resurrecting the innings by scoring 41 runs.

Bangladesh will now be desperate to avoid a clean sweep, targeting a win the third T20I, scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on October 12.
