Pakistan To Boycott T20 World Cup 2026 If India Refuse To Travel For Champions Trophy 2025 – Reports
The 2025 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place in three venues across Pakistan from February 19 to March 9.

Pakistan is scheduled to host the 2025 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy. According to reports, the tournament is scheduled to start on February 19 in Karachi, and the final of the eight-team tournament will be played on March 9 in Lahore. However, there is a high possibility that India will not travel to Pakistan due to political relations between the two countries, and its matches will be moved to Dubai.

Amid reports of India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025, it has been reported by Geo News Urdu that Pakistan has threatened to boycott the 2026 edition of the T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, if India doesn’t travel to Pakistan next year.

In a report published on Sunday (July 14), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will not deviate from the position of holding all the Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan, and the board will maintain the same position during the ICC meeting in Sri Lanka next week. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi is expected to attend the ICC meeting scheduled to take place in Colombo from July 19 to 22.

Sources say that Pakistan will not deviate from the position of holding all the Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan but will maintain the position of ‘Pakistan’s event in Pakistan.’

According to sources, all the Champions Trophy teams except India have played in Pakistan, and India’s position of not coming to Pakistan is weak. If India still refuses to travel, then Pakistan will also not go to India for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

India last travelled to Pakistan in July 2008 to take part in the Asia Cup. In the last 16 years, Pakistan has travelled to India once for the bilateral series (in 2012–2013) and twice for the T20 World Cup 2016 and the ODI World Cup 2023.

India was scheduled to travel to Pakistan last year as well to take part in the Asia Cup 2023, but it didn’t, and then India’s matches were moved to Sri Lanka.
