The Rajasthan Royals have certainly turned around their woes from the previous game as they are all over the Punjab Kings at their home ground. Sanju Samson certainly did impress with a fine run-out being enforced during the final stages of the first innings to dismiss the dangerous Liam Livingstone.
Ashutosh Sharma had taken the single in the penultimate delivery of Yuzuvendra Chahal’s over. Liam Livingstone who was charging in for the second was sent back. While he seems to have made his way back, the replays showed that the Englishman was unable to get back in.
The throw from the debutant Tanush Kotian was a bit behind the stumps but Sanju Samson managed to put in the dive and roll away from the stumps as he threw the ball at the wickets to enforce the run-out. It was a brilliant showcase of glovesmanship by the wicketkeeper Samson who was involved in a couple of mixups with the fielder in taking some catches.

RR has been dominant in the initial and middle stages of the bowling innings against PBKS. Avesh Khan gave the side their first breakthrough to get rid of the opener, Atharva Taide to get the ball rolling.

Chahal was able to get the second in the third delivery after the batting powerplay to get rid of Prabhsimran Singh while Keshav Maharaj got the wicket of the dangerous Jonny Bairstow and the stand-in skipper Sam Curran.

Jitesh Sharma and the returning Liam Livingstone were able to chip in with cameos scoring 29 and 21 respectively. In the death overs, it was Ashutosh Sharma who looked to drag the side to a defendable total.

He got lucky thanks to a big mixup between Avesh Khan and Sanju Samson who were unable to communicate on who would take the catch.
